My first time to photograph a Jewish wedding! How exciting! I was very touched that Gavin and Rachael chose me for their special day even though I had knew nothing about Jewish weddings, but after seeing all my photos and meeting me they felt confident that I was the right photographer for them. I did my homework and found out everything I needed to know about Jewish wedding Etiquette.

I met the couple in London a couple of times to talk through the events and they bought me to the synagogue so I would be familiar with how the ceremony would go. I was very excited and a little nervous, but I think this helped as my adrenalin was rushing the whole day and I was eager not to miss a shot! The highlight of the day was definitely the Israeli dancing, I have never seen anything quite like this, not even in the movies! It was spectacular! A feast for my lens… until one of the grooms men launched himself through the air and landed right on top of me!

I finished photographing at 2am, exhausted but feeling very satisfied that I had captured more than the couple were expecting.

The ceremony was held at the Marble Arch Western Synagogue and the evening events were held at The Landmark Hotel in London.

The video team  Engage were a lot of fun and professional and I would highly recommend them, we have shared our contact details and have worked together a few times since. www.engagecinematic.com
