I became a wedding photographer almost by chance and from an initial stunning picture of my best friend’s bridal dress label, news spread pretty fast on the wedding grapevine. Since that great moment I’ve had the opportunity to photograph at many fantastic weddings up and down the UK and sometimes abroad. I’m essentially a driven and dedicated all-round creative person who uses a camera and lens to capture a variety of special moments. I accept a mixture of wedding photography commissions which range from small intimate ceremonies with just a handful of people to lavish banquets where the guest list can run into thousands.

My photos are truly unique, I don’t have a “formula” that I use at every wedding and prefer instead to work in tandem with the environment and the event, capturing everything that I see in a candid and unobtrusive way. At the same time I seize the beauty and romance of the day and reproduce these moments as images to enjoy for ever.

I combine the experience gained from many years of photographing commercials with a passion for the job, thus creating stunning wedding images.

I like to keep a few tricks up my sleeve to help me when things need to be a little more staged, such as during group shots. Even so, I still want to keep these as natural, fun and as pain free as possible. We all know it’s important to have the group photos taken as quickly as possible and so leaving the rest of the day to enjoy. Organising and managing groups can often be a challenge but one I really enjoy and whether they’re small groups in London or hundreds in Hong Kong, the shots will always be discussed beforehand with the couple.

Many of my UK clients are Chinese and since I managed to pick up Cantonese during my 20 years in the Far East I have an in-depth knowledge of Chinese customs and wedding traditions. In addition to photographing at traditional English weddings I’ve also been fortunate enough to take pictures at a selection of lavish Indian and Jewish weddings. Please look at my portfolio of different weddings and use the contact page to discuss any of the above in further detail.

I now reside in the UK whilst still keeping a base in Hong Kong, though I prefer not to travel around quite as much as I have done in the past. I presently enjoy focusing on weddings in England and more particularly in Northampton where I live, though I do take on the occasional destination wedding.

Although I’m well known as a wedding photographer I don’t categorise myself as any particular kind of photographer. Every photo needs careful composition and patience, and I like to put as much effort, thought, creative spirit and expertise into each and every one of the categories.
